However, with Scotland pressing for a winner, Grant Hanley’s reckless challenge on Nicola Zalewski handed Poland another penalty. Zalewski, who had also earned the earlier spot-kick, converted in the 97th minute to steal the victory. Following a disappointing exit from the summer Euros with just one point, Steve Clarke’s side now heads to Portugal, managing just one win in 13 games and suffering five losses this year.
