Celtic skipper, Callum McGregor has been named today as the SPFL Player of the Month for August after a run of sterling opening games for the Hoops. The captain has been at the heart of Celtic’s winning start to the 2024/25 term, and, following the opening day 4-0 win over Kilmarnock, he was among the goals in the 2-0 win over Hibernian at Easter Road. It was a scorcher of a strike and that set the tone for similar strikes against St Mirren in Paisley and another against Rangers in the 3-0 derby win as August made way for September.
