Elena Sadiku was pleased with her side’s 2-1 victory over Djurgarden on Saturday in the first of two friendly matches for the Hoops in Sweden. After a slow start to the game, the Celtic FC Women’s team grew into the game, and despite going a goal down inside the last 10 minutes of the match, Celtic continued pushing forward, and late strikes from Caitlin Hayes and Saoirse Noonan gave Elena Sadiku’s side a 2-1 win. After the match in Stockholm, the Celtic Head Coach spoke to Celtic TV.Saoirse Noonan is one of a number of new faces to have arrived at Celtic ahead of the new season, as the Hoops look to retain their SWPL title and also aim to progress in the UEFA Champions League. The Irish striker is already enjoying life at Paradise, and came off the bench on Saturday to net the winning goal against Djurgarden.
