With another impressive display on Sunday which seen Celtic FC Women run out 7-0 winners, there was plenty of goals spread throughout the team once more. After bagging goals in last week’s victory, Morgan Cross, Momo Nakao and Maria McAneny continued their run of scoring in two consecutive games. And it was also a pleasing moment for Amy Gallacher, who got her goal scoring for the season up and running, before soon doubling that tally in the win over Partick Thistle. With over 50 goals to her name in green and white, Gallacher certainly knows how to find the back of the net. And that was on show on Sunday afternoon, with two well taken finishes inside the area, including one from the spot at the beginning of the second half. Speaking to Celtic TV after the match, Gallacher stated it was a nice feeling to get her goal scoring up and running for the season as she reflected on the Ghirls’ positive start to the season. She said: “It was another good performance. I think it just sums up our start to the season really well. “So far in the first three games, it has been really good. Again, today we’ve had a lot of goalscorers as well, so it was overall a really good afternoon.” ‘It was important for us to get a good start to the season. Obviously we are scoring a lot of goals. We just want to keep that overall positivity going just now.’ “It’s nice to be able to get your first goal and get off the mark. To then follow that up with another in the second half was really good as well. “So, hopefully I can keep that going, but more importantly, the team can keep winning games.”With the Hoops now three games into the season, impressively, Elena Sadiku has made a few tactical tweaks in all three games, and yet none of them have looked out of place. One of those has been the position of Gallacher, who started as both a striker and also a midfielder so far this season. On Sunday, she took up the most advanced role in the frontline, replaced Saoirse Noonan who missed out through injury. For the Celtic number seven, that is something she doesn’t mind doing when required if she can help out the team. With the Celts finishing the match with three teenage Academy prospects on the pitch, Gallacher also reflected on the opportunity those three players have received as she looked ahead to another big game coming this weekend. She said: “Most of us can play in different positions, so that obviously helps the team. Unfortunately, Saoirse was injured today, so I played up front. ‘But I don’t really mind where I play as long as I can help the team out.’ “There has been a lot of Academy players coming through recently. Like Darra Dawson, Sienna McGoldrick and then today with Mirren Duncan. “They deserve their opportunity. They have trained well, and we seen those rewards with Darra getting her first goal last week. So, hopefully, they can keep coming too. “In the changing room, we’ve just spoken about keeping the positivity going,” she continued. “We’ve obviously got a big game coming next week now. Hopefully, we can reach the performance levels the same as we have been.“FixturesPartick Thistle Women Vs. Celtic Women – Sun, Aug 31st 2025, 13:00Celtic Women Vs.
