The Allianz Arena is where it’s at tonight (Tuesday) as Celtic visit Bayern Munich for the second leg of the knockout phase play-off, with the Bundesliga outfit leading 2-1 from the first leg at Paradise last Wednesday. The Celts travelled to the Bavarian capital yesterday intent on overturning that lead, and the fact that the Hoops had a goal chalked off in the first 25 seconds last week as well as having Bayern on the back-foot as the game reached a crescendo, has given them hope. Belgian Bhoy, Arne Engels and his team-mates have been buoyed by their display against the German giants at Celtic Park, and go into the game with raised hopes. The midfielder told Celtic TV in an exclusive interview at the Allianz: “Everybody is really excited for the game, everybody is ready and knows what is coming towards them. ‘We can’t wait to start the game and hopefully get a result here.’ “I think we gained a lot of confidence . We know that we are also able to play against them and hurt them. “You saw that especially in the first minute that we can hurt them really quickly, so it’s up to us to keep on doing the same things that we always do, and try to do even better than that, and then, hopefully, the result comes with it.”While the Allianz may not exactly be a home-from-home for Engels, he played there in 2022/23 and 2023/24 and now, with Celtic, he visits the arena for the third successive season. His first two visits were, of course on Bundesliga duty with fellow Bavarian side FC Augsburg, so he knows what to expect on arrival tonight. He said: “It’s a really big stadium with a lot of people inside, but maybe it’s not like Celtic Park. I would say, it will be a good atmosphere, but nothing like at home.” There, will, of course, be a taste of home tonight with thousands of Celtic supporters making the trip to Munich to back the Hoops and that is something Engels is looking forward to once more. The Belgian Celt added: “In every game they are always there, supporting us and pushing us forward, so again this will be a really nice feeling. “We are all looking forward to seeing them and hopefully they can push us a little bit forward to the end and get a result.” More on the match Manager: We’ll give it absolutely everything tonight –
