For many, Christmas brings joy, warmth and precious moments with loved ones. But for others, it can feel lonely and overwhelming. This year, thanks to support from the SPFL Trust, Celtic FC Foundation once again delivered Festive Friends – a project that brings comfort, company and festive spirit to those who need it most. We were delighted to welcome over 100 elderly and socially isolated members of our community to Celtic Park for a memorable Christmas celebration. Guests enjoyed a delicious three-course festive meal, surrounded by friendly faces and good conversation. The highlight of the afternoon came courtesy of The Motown Brothers, whose soulful classics and lively performance filled the room with smiles, laughter, dancing and even a few sing-along moments. Throughout the day, Foundation colleagues spent time with our guests, listening, talking, sharing memories and making sure everyone felt valued and included. To help bring comfort beyond the event, Winter Warmer packs will be distributed. The packs will feature an electric heated throw, a food and essentials supermarket voucher, a hot water bottle and chocolate kindly donated from Cadbury. Celtic FC Foundation’s Head of Foundation, Donna-Marie Henry said: “Moments like today show the true spirit of Christmas – looking after one another and creating a place where everyone feels seen, valued and included. “Our Festive Friends celebration is one of the highlights of our year and we’re honoured to share it with those who enrich our communities in so many ways.
