The champions of Scotland will unfurl the league flag and kick-off their defence of the SPFL title with a home game against St Mirren on Sunday, August 3 (KO: 16.30). The Celts rounded off yet another successful league campaign with a 1-1 home draw against the Paisley side on trophy day at the end of last season, a match that will live long in the memory for James Forrest’s last-gasp equaliser which extended his scoring run to an incredible 16 consecutive seasons. This season’s opening fixture against St Mirren is followed by a trip to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen on August 10 at 12.30, before newly-promoted Livingston make the trip to Celtic Park on Saturday, August 23. Then it’s a trip to Govan for the four-in-a-row champions where they will face Rangers at Ibrox in the first Glasgow Derby of the season on Sunday, August 31 at 12pm.
