CELTIC FC WOMEN have already made history this season, but Elena Sadiku’s side aren’t content to simply sit back and admire the work they’ve done so far. Far from it. Instead the girls in green are intent on continuing to break new ground on and off the park as the buzz around Celtic FC Women continues. Last night (Wed 13th Nov) saw them take on the might of Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League at Celtic Park as they continue to tick off a number of ‘firsts’ in this season’s tournament. This is the first time they have qualified for the group stages, the match v Chelsea was the first time they had played in the tournament at Celtic Park, and now, thanks to Murphy Agnew’s first half strike they have now registered their very first goal at this level. What next for this team? Off the pitch the popularity of Sadiku’s side continues to grow with am impressive crowd of 7,390 in attendance for the Chelsea clash. Amongst them were Tino, Brydo, Jon Attenborough – and Sam the dog – and they got together the day after to discuss a hugely exciting night at Celtic Park – and of the growing phenomenon of women’s football here in Scotland. 🎙️ Tune in now to this special episode of The Celtic Exchange Podcast #celticfc #celticfcwomen #uefawomenschampionsleague ============================== SUPPORT THE CELTIC EXCHANGE THIS SEASON 👇 1.
