As awards season approaches, Celtic FC Women’s remarkable achievements in 2024 continue to earn widespread recognition, with the team receiving nominations at three of Scotland’s most prestigious awards ceremonies. Amd Head Coach, Elena Sadiku has also been nominated for the prestigious Best FIFA Women’s Coach of the Year Award. Securing the club’s first ever SWPL title and reaching the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stages for the first time marks a season of unprecedented success. Elena Sadiku’s side was recently nominated for Team of the Year at the Scottish Women in Sport Awards, held on Friday, November 1. Despite not securing the win on the night, the nomination itself reflected the impact of an historic season. Looking ahead, the ScottishPower Scottish Women’s Football Annual Awards, taking place this Saturday, November 30, will celebrate the success of women’s and girls’ football in Scotland, recognising achievements both on and off the pitch. The event honours the standout performers and key moments of the 2023/24 season for a memorable evening at Hampden Stadium. Celtic FC Women are proudly represented with four nominations: Coach of the Year: Elena Sadiku Player of the Year: Amy Gallacher and Caitlin Hayes Kat Lindner Award for Outstanding Athletic and Academic Achievement: Kelly Clark Just days later, the team will compete for Team of the Year at the Scottish Sports Awards 2024 on Wednesday, December 4, at the Glasgow Science Centre.
