Celtic FC Women to face Spartans away in Round Two of Sky Sports Cup

Celtic FC Women face an away tie against Spartans in the second round of Sky Sports Cup following today’s draw. Spartans have dropped into SWPL2 after being relegated from the top flight last season, but they will still provide a stern test for Elena Sadiku’s side when the teams meet in October. Last season at this stage of the competition, Elena Sadiku’s side recorded a 7-0 victory over Montrose in a match which saw Saoirse Noonan grab a double, alongside Morgan Cross’ first goal for the club. With a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs, Celtic will be aiming to see off Spartans, with the fixture taking place on the weekend of Sunday, October 5.
