Celtic FC Women are delighted to announce the double signing of Tara O’Hanlon and Poppy Pritchard, who both join on loan from Manchester City for the remainder of the season, subject to SFA and international clearance. The attack minded left-sided full-back O’Hanlon arrives at Paradise after gaining first-team experience on loan at Sunderland in the Barclays WSL2 during the first half of the 2025/26 season. The Dubliner began her career with Bohemian FC before moving to Peamount United, where she played a key role in the club’s League of Ireland Premier Division title victory in 2023. Her performances saw her earn a senior international call-up in April 2023, and she has since gone on to earn four caps for the Republic of Ireland. O’Hanlon was named in the most recent 23-player squad for November’s international window, playing her part in the Republic of Ireland’s 3–2 victory over Hungary. Pritchard arrives in Glasgow after spending the majority of her early career in the WSL2, most recently during a spell with Durham Women. After progressing through Durham’s academy, the young striker made her senior debut in February 2023, with her attacking exploits earning her a move to Manchester City in January 2024. She would go on to spend time on loan at Newcastle United, helping the Magpies finish fifth in their debut season in the WSL2. Pritchard also turned out for Crystal Palace in the WSL while on loan with the London club. On the international stage, the forward has represented England at youth level, featuring for the England U19s during their UEFA Women’s U19 European Championship campaign in 2024, where she registered four goals. Grant Scott Celtic FC Women Head Coach, said: “Poppy is a player I’ve worked with in the past and she was a raw, exciting striker back then. “I’ve watched her progress over the seasons and she’s another young talent who needs games and consistency, and we’re looking forward to helping her show her qualities here. “Tara is another exciting young player who has already gained full international experience. “She’s a very athletic prospect who will benefit from regular football, and we’re delighted to add her to the group.”
