Celtic Sleep Out, Glasgow raises incredible total in excess of £53k

Over the weekend, the Celtic Sleep Out took place for an amazing tenth time at Celtic Park, with over 100 incredible Foundation supporters facing the freezing cold elements throughout the night. This wonderful group have already raised a phenomenal net total in excess of £53,000 for the 2025 Christmas Appeal and, with fundraising still ongoing, there’s still time to get behind the team by donating online HERE Arriving and looking forward to the night ahead, supporters were welcomed to Celtic Park with a thanks from Head of Foundation, Jane Maguire, before hearing from the Maestro, Paul McStay, through our 2025 Christmas Appeal VT. After a safety briefing from the Foundation team, Celtic great, Brian McClair was on hand to show his support for our participants as he joined everyone for a group photo before wishing them well for the long night ahead. With the backdrop of a dry but cold November night, the participants, took on the challenge of spending eight hours – from 10.00pm to 6.00am – under the stars in Paradise. The hardy group were kept warm though through the night, as our friends at Celtic Park Events very generously provided an unlimited supply of complimentary tea, coffee, pies and bovril – and a surprise visit from Club Ambassador and Celtic Legend, Tom Boyd, lifted spirits.Despite the freezing cold conditions, a large portion of the group slept through the elements in front of the Jock Stein Stand, while others braved areas trackside and in the South Stand. Just before 6am, participants began packing up after a long night and were then offered the opportunity to donate their sleeping bags and camping mats. The response, as always, was outstanding and the contributions made to The Invisibles and The Wayside Club will make a huge difference for many sleeping rough on the streets of Glasgow. The event was rounded off with a warm breakfast in the Jock Stein Lounge and we are extremely grateful to Club suppliers, Bidfood and Premier Produce, for generously donating all of the food supplies for this event. Celtic FC Foundation would like to thank each and every Sleep Out participant for their incredible efforts, as well as everyone who supported them along the way.
