Celtic will kick off their defence of the Scottish Cup with a home tie against Kilmarnock. Brendan Rodgers’ side won the trophy for the 42nd time in the club’s history with a memorable victory at Hampden against Rangers last season, courtesy of a last-minute winner from Adam Idah. This season, the Hoops have reached the League Cup final and are four points clear at the top of the Premiership table. Celtic and Kilmarnock have already met twice in league action this season, with the Hoops winning both matches – a 4-0 home win on the opening day of the campaign and then a 2-0 victory at Rugby Park in November. The fourth round ties are scheduled for the weekend of January 18, 2025. Further fixture information to follow in due course.
