The second international break of the year is now upon us as nations continue their qualification campaign for the World Cup in 2026. Several Celtic FC Women’s players are set to be in action with their nations during the break at senior and youth level. Having grabbed her second goal for Scotland last month, Emma Lawton was once again named in Melissa Andreatta. The full-back featured in both of Scotland’s fixtures last month, with two emphatic wins over Luxembourg, which included a 7-0 win at Hampden and saw both Lawton and Maria McAneny score in the match. Lawton will join up with her international team-mates as they get set to face off against Belgium in a double header of qualifying fixtures. McAneny was also due to join up with the squad but has pulled out due to injury. Saoirse Noonan is in action with the Republic of Ireland, as they aim for their first win in qualifying. Carla Ward’s side faced a tough set of opening fixture, running both France and Netherlands close. The Celtic striker will be hoping to feature as they take on Poland home and away, which includes a fixture at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. There are also a number of members of Grant Scott’s squad who will be featuring for Scotland at youth level. Lisa Rodgers will join up with the Scotland Under-23 squad, who are headed for their latest camp in Spain. The young Scotland side will take on France before going on to face either the USA or Denmark in their final fixture in Pinatar. Both Darra Dawson and Sienna McGoldrick will also be in action with the Scotland U19 squad.
