On paper there’s little to play for tomorrow night against Feyenoord, but the Celtic players owe it to the fans as well as to themselves to put in a positive performance against the Dutch champions. Sunday’s defeat by Kilmarnock fell woefully below the required standards and Brendan Rodgers’ must get a response from his men in order to restore confidence ahead of some vital fixtures. He may be tempted to rotate his starting XI in certain areas but at some time very soon we need to see a consistency in his team selection. Inconsistent line-ups have led to inconsistent results and we need to resolve that sooner rather than later.
