Danny’s debut day
It was 51 years ago today, on August 26, 1970, that Danny McGrain made his Celtic debut, coming on as a substitute for Harry Hood in a 2-2 draw with Dundee United at Tannadice in a League Cup sectional game. It was the first of 663 appearances that he would make for the Hoops over the next 17 years. Only Billy McNeill (790), Paul McStay (677) and Roy Aitken (672) have played more times for Celtic.
