We trawl through the club’s record books to find out what was happening in the Celtic world throughout this week in the past March 6 Celtic legend Willie Loney (below) died in Glasgow on this day in 1956 at the age of 76. The centre-half joined the club in 1900 from his local side, Denny Athletic and proceeded to score on his debut in a 2-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle on September 17 of that year. That was the first of 29 goals in 305 appearances for the Celts in more than 13 years with the club...
