Celtic FC Women maintained their 100% record on the road so far this season, running out 4-0 winners over Montrose at Links Park. Making the trip north once more, Amy Gallacher fired the Hoops in front, helping to make the perfect start. The second half produced more goals for the Celts, with Gallacher securing a brace, alongside goals from substitutes Saoirse Noonan and Sienna McGoldrick. It was a welcome return to action for the Irish forward, whilst McGoldrick grabbed her first-ever senior goal for Celtic. Speaking to Celtic TV after the match, admittedly there was some disappointing aspects of the Hoops’s first half performance stated Elena Sadiku. However, she was especially pleased with her squad’s response in the second as the Ghirls took home all three points. She said: “In the first half, we felt like we could have been better. The girls had a great response in the second half though. “We played at our pace with how we can play. Fast, one touch, playing forward and we created enough chances to make more goals. “I do think that the subs were really good when coming on. Amy Richardson coming in, Sienna McGoldrick coming in, and Saoirse Noonan coming back. “They all made a big impact on the team when they came in. They came in with energy and you could see the difference they made. ‘So, I was really happy with that, and really happy with the response we had after half time.’ “We were also really happy to keep that clean sheet too. So, a good day all round.”Next up for the Hoops is a brief break from league duties as they travel to the capital to take on SWPL2 side Spartans. Sadiku insists there will be learnings from Sunday’s win over Montrose as they aim to advance in the Sky Sports Cup. “The first half of the match was maybe a good reminder that we cannot come into a game and think it’s going to be easy,” she said. “We need to be switched on and play our style of play. We want to play to our standards. ‘It doesn’t matter who we play against, those are the standards that you need to keep every week.’ “So, obviously we have Spartans next up in the League Cup, and we’re going to make sure that we’re the best prepared and we’re going to be switched on from the start.“FixturesMontrose Women Vs.
