There was a share of the spoils at New Douglas Park as Celtic FC Women were held to a 1-1 draw against Hibernian on Sunday. Making a bright start to proceedings, Natalie Ross opened the scoring with the Hoops putting in a strong first half performance. However, they were pegged back in the second half as Kathleen McGovern grabbed an equaliser for the away side. Speaking to Celtic TV after the match, Elena Sadiku reflected on her side’s display, insisting that the squad came away slightly disappointed with their second half performance. That being said, the Head Coach believes that in the end, a draw was probably a fair result as both teams took away a point. She said: “We feel a little disappointed after the game, especially after our performance in the first half. “We maybe invited Hibs on a little bit too much in the second half. That is a bit of a disappointment because I don’t think we established play in their half. “In the second half we maybe one did that once or twice, where as we did that really well in the first half. “Right now, we feel a bit disappointed, but at the same time, Lisa (Rodgers) comes up with some big saves at the end of the game. ‘So, a draw is maybe a fair result, but we still have that little bit of disappointment coming away.’ “That is almost something that is a positive that we didn’t concede again with some pressure in the second half, especially near the end. “There are things that we maybe need to look at in that second half that we need to improve because we didn’t really use our strengths. “Sometimes when we break the lines and switch the play, we can create something. But at the same time, when we break the lines, we forced it a little much. ‘We know that these sorts of games last season could have ended up with a loss. We are still improving and doing things better, which is good.’ “But we feel a little disappointed not to come away with three points because we can do so much better.”FixturesCeltic Women Vs.
