We are now heading to the closing stages of the 2024/25 campaign, with the Ghirls getting set for their penultimate fixture of the season. The Hoops travel to face Hibernian in the capital on Wednesday evening in what will also be their final away match of the campaign. Speaking to the press to look ahead to the match, Elena Sadiku reflected on what was a disappointing result on Sunday, with some changes set to come to her side this midweek. With the hosts still in the hunt for the league, the roles are reversed on this occasion in comparison to last season. The 31-year-old insisted they will be doing all they can to seal all three points on the road. She said: “I think I made it clear after the last game that I’m going to give players chances because I think they have done good in training. “If you look at the performance against Rangers, it was not good enough. I want to make sure that I want a different attitude towards this game. “I said to the players, if this isn’t going to be enough motivation, I don’t know what is. If we look back and remember last season, in the last game against Celtic Park. “They fought, and they fought really, really well to make sure that we don’t win the league until the 89th minute when Amy Gallacher scores. “For me, there is nothing else than showing the same mindset. We are not going to make it easy for them because they sure did not make it easy for us. ‘This is the mindset that we need to have. Remember everything.’ With just two games remaining, there will soon be some time to reflect on what has been a season of ups and downs for the Hoops. Sadiku believes that the entire staff and players will have learned lots from the campaign as a whole, as they eye up a strong finish in the closing two fixtures. “As players and staff, we have learned a lot in terms of trying to change the culture,” she said. “We want to be about winning with the right attitude. “Nothing comes for free. For me, if you want to be a top team you need to be at it all the time. It needs to be consistent. ‘That is something that is going to be different from next season. We aren’t going to allow okay performances.’ “Going into these last two games, I want to see an effort and character. For me, that is very important because if players show character and pride.”FixturesHibernian Women Vs. Celtic Women – Wed, May 14th 2025, 18:00
