As we head into another busy period in the season, Grant Scott has added to his Celtic FC Women squad with the addition of Evie Rabjohn. The youngster joins the Hoops on a two-and-a-half-year deal, after most recently spending the last two years at Manchester United. Initially coming through at Aston Villa, Rabjohn brings top-flight experience from her time in England, while she also spent the first half of this season on loan at Sunderland. Speaking in her first interview as a Celtic player, Rabjohn expressed her delight at making the move to Glasgow. Having spoken to Scott, the 20-year-old is now excited to get going in the Hoops as they continue their chase for silverware this season. She said: “I’m very excited to be here. I’m ready to play, and to show what I am all about. It’s a massive club, so I’m really, really happy. “I was buzzing when I heard of Celtic’s interest! It’s an opportunity to fight for trophies, fight for titles and compete in Europe. ‘That is something that as a kid you dream of and having the opportunity to be able to do that is great.’ “I spoke with Grant about me playing as a central-midfielder, which is something that I think I am ready to do. “I feel like I have been ready to do that for a while, and the fact he’s giving me an opportunity to do that, I’m really grateful for that. “I want to be able to show what I’m about, and I think this is the best place to do exactly that.”Having committed her future to the club, knowing the sort of environment she is coming into was always going to be important for Rabjohn. Around the squad, there are already some familiar faces within the group, with recent additions Tara O’Hanlon and Poppy Pritchard having previously played alongside our newest signing. Rabjohn also had a conversation with former Celt, Clarissa Larisey, and heard nothing but good things about moving to Celtic. Ultimately, the versatile midfielder knew this is where she wanted to make home, and now she can’t wait to get involved on the pitch. “I spoke to Tara (O’Hanlon) and Poppy (Pritchard), who I have played with previously,” she said. “They love it here. “I also spoke to a previous No.10 that played here, Clarissa Larisey. She said how much she enjoyed it here. So, I’m really happy to be here. “Those conversations definitely helped me make the decision. I knew that this is where I wanted to come, but they definitely got it over the line. ‘I can’t wait to get going now. I can’t wait for the first game that I can be involved.’ “That will be a very, very good day and I’m sure that my parents will be up for the game too. So it will be a great day, and I can’t wait to get going.”FixturesGlasgow City Women Vs. Celtic Women – Sun, Feb 8th 2026, 16:10
