Exclusive Celtic TV interview: Benjamin Nygren in Bologna

Celtic arrived in Italy last night ahead of this evening’s match against Bologna, the Coppa Italia holders, in the Europa League at the historic Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. The Hoops come into the match on the back of three successive victories, a run which has seen Martin O’Neill’s men pick up six Scottish Premiership points and advance to the next round of the Scottish Cup. Tonight’s match against Bologna will, however, pose different challenges to Celtic’s previous games, however the Bhoys’ last away outing in Europe produced an impressive 3-1 victory over Feyenoord and a positive result this evening would only serve to further bolster Celtic’s chances of progression from the league phase. Speaking to Celtic TV at Bologna’s stadium last night, Benjamin Nygren highlighted the confidence of the Hoops first team ahead of the match as he set his sights on another positive result for the Bhoys. “The feeling amongst the team is very good.” Nygren explained. “We have three wins in a row, and we’ll aim to make it four here against Bologna. “They are a very good team, they play against top teams every week and they have been one of the best sides in Italy over the last two or three years. ‘We know how good they are but also we know how good we can be.’ “We know that we’ll need a strong performance to win here. “The feeling is good in the team and I think we’ll put in a good performance.” You can watch Benjamin Nygren’s full Celtic TV interview below.
