Great description imo Not long after a routine Scottish Cup win over Airdrie has the focus turned to something else to moan about, with the pitch at Celtic Park being grimly described as in a ‘diseased’ state. It’s hardly anywhere near the mid 90’s conditions where Celtic Park resembled The Gulf of Arabia around winter-spring time in that era, but nonetheless, we’re now using these words to cement home the fact that a football pitch is not in perfect condition...
