Scottish Gas Women’s Scottish CupSunday, December 07, 2025New Douglas Park CELTIC…14 (Cross 9, 59, Gallacher 10, 45, 75, Noonan 15, 21, 25, 43, Luke 39, 41, Lawton 51, Clark 63, Momo 67) DUNFERMLINE ATHLETIC…0 Celtic FC Women booked their place in the fourth round of the Scottish Gas Women’s Scottish Cup in style with an empathic 14-0 win over Dunfermline on Sunday afternoon. With seven different scorers getting their name on the scoresheet, it was a strong attacking performance from Elena Sadiku’s side at New Douglas Park. Having made their return from the international break earlier this week, the Hoops squad lined-up for their first of three fixtures in December. Lower league side Dunfermline were the Ghirls’ opponents, as they looked to book their place in the next round of the cup. The Celtic boss named four changes to her side from the 2-0 win last time out over Partick Thistle, introducing Adelaide Gay, Darra Dawson, Sienna McGoldrick and Momo Nakao to the side. There was also a welcome return to the matchday squad for Chloe Craig, who was making her return from injury, taking her place on the bench for the first time in 464 days. The Hoops made a rapid start their return to action in what was a superb attacking display in the first half, with the first of nine goals coming inside the opening 10 minutes of the match. Morgan Cross got the scoring up and running in the Scottish Cup tie, heading the ball home over the on-rushing goalkeeper after a ball into the box found the run of the forward. That goal seemed to make the Hoops burst into life as Amy Gallacher double the advantage just a minute later. The Celtic number seven scored her first of three on the day with a tidy finish into the bottom corner, after the ball was laid into her path by Saoirse Noonan. Having played her part in setting up the second goal, Noonan soon got in on the act with four first half goals. The striker scored a ten-minute hat-trick, with some well taken finishes, the first of which seen the Ireland internationalist tap home from a Gallacher delivery, who returned the favour. Noonan’s second was set up on this occasion by Emma Lawton, who hung a brilliant delivery to the back post, which was headed home emphatically. The 26-year-old completed her hat-trick with superb team move, with the ball being worked from back-to-front, before it was put on a plate by Morgan Cross for Noonan to tap into the back of the net. The goals kept flowing in the first half as Hannah Luke was next to grab a double, scoring two strikes which a forward would have been proud of. The full-backs first goal came into the six-yard box, turning home Sienna McGoldrick’s delivery into the box. Just minutes later, the left-back produced a tidy finish into the far bottom corner, following a nicely worked one-two on the edge of the area. With half time approaching, there was still time for two more goals as Noonan scored her fourth, which was arguably the best of the bunch, stroking the ball into the far top corner. Amy Gallacher rounded off a nine-goal half right on the stroke of the half-time whistle, remaining composed to tuck the ball into the corner at the second attempt. The second half was much of the same for the Ghirls, with a further five goals to come, which included a 51st minute strike from Emma Lawton. The right-back kicked off the second half scoring by reacting quickest to a loose ball inside the penalty area to make the score double figures. Less than ten minutes later, Morgan Cross secured her brace becoming the fourth player to do so, also reacting the sharpest to race onto the goalkeepers save from a Noonan header to score from close range. With the goals flowing throughout the team, it was time for the skipper to get on the scoring, with Kelly Clark grabbing a goal with a header from a second phase of a corner. Momo Nakao became the seventh goal scorer of the afternoon, linking up with substitute Maria McAneny to slide the ball home. The scoring was finally rounded off by Amy Gallacher, who sealed her hat-trick on what was a great afternoon for the Ghirls. Not only was it a perfect afternoon in terms of scoring, but there was a debut for Academy youngster Emma Knox. Chloe Craig was also back in action for the first time in well over a year, marking her return from a long-term knee injury, earning her first minutes since the beginning of last campaign.
