ScottishPower Women’s Premier LeagueSunday, March 15, 2026New Douglas Park CELTIC…1 (Gallacher 23) HIBERNIAN…1 (Adams 39)   Celtic FC Women took away a share of the spoils on Sunday afternoon, being held to a 1-1 draw by Hibernian. Kicking off their post-split fixtures, Amy Gallacher fired Celtic into the lead in the first half with her 11th goal of the campaign. However, the Hoops were pegged back just before the break by an Eilidh Adams goal, which was ultimately the only other goal of the game, with each side taking away a point. Following an extended international break, the Ghirls were back in action for the first time in three weeks. Sunday’s fixture also marked the first of the post-split, with Celtic going up against their fellow top six side’s home and away. First up for the Hoops was Hibernian who travelled to New Douglas Park looking to pick up their fist win against Celtic of the campaign. It was an even affair throughout the match, with both side’s getting back up to speed following the international break. Celtic were first to test the goalkeeper as Evie Rabjohn fired an effort on goal in the early stages. A corner sent into the box made it’s way to the midfielder on the edge, who fired a shot on target, but it was a comfortable save for the goalkeeper. Hibs were also looking to show their threat, with a dangerous attacking frontline and several players returning from injury. Sending several deliveries into the box, the Celtic backline were doing well to deal with what was being thrown their way. With both teams looking to grab an advantage early on, it was the Ghirls who grabbed the first goal of the game. Following a swift attacking move, Tara O’Hanlon found Emma Westin with a threatening pass, which gave her space to drive. Heading towards the penalty area, the winger hit the byline, before finding Amy Gallacher with a low cross. The Celtic number seven made no mistake with her finish, finding the corner from close range to fire the Celts ahead. It was a great move to put Celtic ahead. But the visitors were able to get themselves back into the game before the break, levelling things up with six minutes remaining in the half. Eilidh Adams found the bottom corner with a tidy finish, pulling the Edinburgh side level heading into half time. With Celtic looking to bounce back from the disappointment of conceding towards the end of the half, Grant Scott had plenty of options to introduce from the bench. Before making changes, Emma Lawton came close to firing Celtic back into the lead, meeting Kelly Clark’s free kick from deep, seeing her strike well saved. The Hoops boss looked to his bench with Celtic chasing a winner, introducing the likes of Poppy Pritchard, Morgan Cross and Maria McAneny. The visitors were still offering a threat going forward, sending a number of dangerous balls into the box for Celtic to deal with. As the game headed towards the closing stages, both Pritchard and McAneny had good opportunities to try and find the net. Both looked to trouble the Hibs goalkeeper, but couldn’t quite do that with their efforts, with the two teams ultimately taking home a point apiece. The schedule in the split doesn’t slow down for the Ghirls, with their second fixture coming this Wednesday night against Glasgow City at New Douglas Park.FixturesCeltic Women Vs.
