Grant Scott: We will take our learnings from Glasgow City draw

It was honours evening once again for Celtic FC Women as the Ghirls were held to a 1-1 draw against Glasgow City. Despite a positive display, the Hoops took home a share of the spoils, with Saoirse Noonan’s opener being cancelled out in the second half. A late goal from Natalie Wrobel seen the two teams take away a share of the points in the Ghirls’ second post-split outing. Speaking after the match, although naturally disappointed not to come away with all three points, Grant Scott was left proud by his side’s display. He said: “It was obviously a tough match. I thought the girls were terrific throughout. You know against Glasgow City, you are going to have momentum shifts in the game. “They had a few moments against us. But I think we more than held our own. “Obviously, it was a disappointing way to lose the equalising goal. Because I thought at that point, we were keeping City at arm’s length. ‘I’m disappointed we didn’t see that one over the line, but incredibly proud of the performance.’ “I thought we played some nice stuff out there tonight, against a really good opponent. For me, we want to see them do that more often now.” Watch Grant Scott’s full post-match interviewFixturesCeltic Women Vs. Glasgow City Women – Wed, Mar 18th 2026, 19:45
