Hampden Park to remain Scotland’s football stadium
The Scottish FA has announced that Hampden Park will remain Scotland’s football stadium, after they bought it from Queen’s Park for around £5 million.The stadium beat off competition from Murrayfield in Edinburgh to host Scotland internationals and cup finals after a lengthy process, with the likes of Ibrox and Celtic Park also considered initially.Hampden has been the home of Scottish football since 1906, but with the lease due to expire in 2020, it’s future was cast in doubt following the news that the...
