Immortalising a Lisbon Lion: The Jim Craig Statue Project | With Matt McGlone

A true Celtic hero, Jim Craig is one of our immortal Lisbon Lions – the 12 men who will forever be remembered for that historic triumph in Lisbon almost 60 years ago. Now, a dedicated group of supporters have launched a project to honour him with a statue in his birthplace of Govan – a fitting tribute to a local Bhoy done good. Here Matt McGlone shares the story behind the initiative, explaining how the project came to life and of their hopes of creating a lasting legacy in the name of one of Celtic’s greatest sons.
