Celtic secured three points in impressive fashion with a resounding 4-0 victory over Falkirk under the Celtic Park lights tonight. From the first whistle, the Hoops played with intent and created numerous chances, two of which were tucked away in the first half by Johnny Kenny. The Irishman could have had a third early in the second half, but his miss wasnât to prove costly as Sebastian Tounekti and Benjamin Nygren went on to add their names to the scoresheet, with Tounekti grabbing his first Celtic Park goal. Speaking to Celtic TV after the match, both players reflected on the importance of tonightâs victory as they looked ahead to the upcoming tests for the Celts. âItâs a great win, we needed it,â Johnny Kenny said. âItâs been a tough few days and we needed to go out tonight, show a reaction and put in a performance and I think we done that. âThe goals were important for me and theyâll help me grow now. I missed a great chance to get a hat-trick, but thatâs football. Hopefully thereâs more to come in the next few weeks.â Sebastian Tounekti added: âIt’s my first goal at Celtic Park. Iâve been waiting for that, and it was special. The most important thing was the win today though. âWe were really good today so hopefully we can keep moving now because we have so many important games coming up.â You can watch Johnny Kenny and Sebastian Tounektiâs post-match interview in full below.
