Celtic Football Club are delighted to announce that phase three of our Lennoxtown Training Centre development has been completed.  The Lennoxtown centre has been the training base for our men’s first team since 2007 and the recent developments which have been completed have further enhanced the facility. After 18 months of work and significant investment in the facility, this latest phase of work delivers some great new benefits and the cumulative work in recent seasons at the training centre now sees the implementation of a state-of-the-art gym, new medical facilities, upgraded changing room facilities and a new amphitheatre for first team analysis, all of which will help our players in their pursuit of success.  On the recent upgrades to the club’s Lennoxtown base, captain Callum McGregor said: “There was a period of redevelopment in terms of what we could do with the space and how we could modernise it. ‘The guys behind the scenes have done a really good job and now the next part of it is done.’ “It’s improving all the time and something that we need to continue to do is keep pushing to have the best facilities we can.”Celtic assistant manager Shaun Maloney added: “You see our schedule now and every two or three days we’re preparing for a game or recovering, so this facility now has everything you need. “In terms of developing players through our academy and players that we bring in, we have everything now to make that happen.” The Lennoxtown Training Centre is also home to the club’s B team, and first team coach Stephen McManus, who previously managed the Celtic B side, says that the Lennoxtown upgrades will help the Academy as well as the first team. He said: “When I first came up with the reserves six years ago, it was important that the first team and the reserves were aligned and that has continued to this day. “With the new offices here for the B team staff, you’re utilising the space. It’s a tremendous facility.” The improvements to our Lennoxtown Training Centre follow on from the redevelopment of our Barrowfield facility, which is now the state-of-the-art home for our Women’s team and Academy sides.   As the club continues to develop its facilities, the Club will also be continuing to look at further areas of potential work across Celtic Park across the summer.
