Local Primary pupils enjoy Festive fun at Foundation Christmas Party

This week, more than 200 local Primary 5 pupils from four East End schools – Alexandra Parade, St Anne’s, St Paul’s and Thorntree – enjoyed a memorable visit to Celtic Park, as Celtic FC Foundation hosted its annual Christmas party with some special guests in attendance. The children were treated to a festive lunch, party games, a disco and visits from Hoopy the Huddle Hound and Santa Claus, who provided gifts for every child in attendance. Face painters were also on hand, decorating the children with Celtic-themed and football-inspired designs, adding to the lively atmosphere throughout the day. And there was also a surprise appearance from Celtic stars Cameron Carter-Vickers and Callum Osmand, who took time out to visit the pupils and pose for photographs, creating unforgettable moments for the children. USA internationalist, Cameron Carter-Vickers spoke to Celtic TV adding: “It was a great event and you can see everyone was having a really good time. It was nice to be there and help spread some Christmas joy. Football is all about bringing people together, so visits like this are really special.” A teacher from St Paul’s Primary School also spoke of the impact of the event, saying: “Days like this are absolutely fabulous for the kids. Many don’t get opportunities like this, so these are the memories they’ll carry with them for many years. “It’s a fantastic example of the brilliant work the Foundation does across the East End, giving children a really special day to remember.”Our 2025 Christmas Appeal, as always, aims to bring some comfort and joy to those who need it most. Across our local communities, we will be supporting families facing poverty, pensioners, women and children in refuge, the homeless community and refugees, along with a host of others who are experiencing hardships. And through our Paradise Pit Stop initiative – which operates four days a week, all year round – we will once again open the doors of our home, Celtic Park, for a special Christmas Day offering, providing a festive meal and the warmest of welcomes. We are now currently at full capacity and look forward to welcoming our guests. Our Christmas Appeal will touch thousands of lives this festive period and we continue to ask you, the completely unique and unsurpassable Celtic support, to stand with us and help make a positive difference for those who need it most.
