With 18 days since the Ghirls were last on league duties, it will have felt like a long wait for the players not on international duty to get back on the pitch for competitive action. And the Hoops will finally be back on Friday evening as they travel to take Hibernian at Meadowbank Stadium. As we head into the final stretch of fixtures, it is gearing up to be an exciting week, starting with the visit to the capital. Speaking to preview Friday’s match against Hibernian, Maddi Wilde insisted the break gave the squad some time to reset but also get to work at training. Now, the defender and her teammates are looking forward to getting back to league action. She said: “It’s nice to have a little bit of time to work on individual bits during the international break. “It’s maybe things that you can’t usually work on when you are preparing for a game. So, it’s been a good two weeks where we have had a bit of time to settle. ‘We’ve regained, and regrouped. So we’re looking forward to going again.’ “Obviously we’ve played Hibs before, so we knew what we will be going up against on Friday. It’s a really important game. So we’re all focused on that. “As a player, you want to play games. That is the main point when it comes to the end of the week. “We’ve got a lot of games coming up, so it’s a really exciting time.” Watch Maddi Wilde’s full match previewFixturesHibernian Women Vs.
