We all know someone who’s adamant they could’ve been a player, so Magners is giving those lost legends the ultimate way to prove their tekkers, with a game at Celtic Park.
Main Celtic partner, Magners Irish Cider will host a match on Tuesday 15th May, giving players the chance to realise their ‘hoops and dreams’, and take to the field of one of the most iconic stadiums in the world.
To be in with a chance of playing at Paradise, all fantasy footballers need do is visit www.magners.co.uk/hoops and tell Magners why they could’ve been a player.
Could you have been a commanding centre half like Cesar but were cut short by injury? Got a legendary left foot like Tommy but gave up the game for family and kids? Were you a world class keeper like Packie but moved to the other side of the world? Now is your chance to prove that you really could have been a player.
All tales are welcome and hopefuls will also have the opportunity to submit photo or video to support their story.
Applications open today, Tuesday 1st May and will close on Tuesday 8th May. The best “hoops and dreams” stories will be selected and invited to play at Celtic Park the following week.
George Kyle, head of sponsorship at Magners said: “Magners Irish Cider is a proud supporter of Celtic FC and we’re delighted to be able to offer fans the chance to play on the pitch at Paradise to fulfil their “hoops and dreams”.
“Rather than continuing to bore your mates with tales of how you could have been a player, now is your chance to prove it. We look forward to reading through the stories of unfulfilled dreams and cheering on the players at Celtic Park on 15th May.”
Entry closes at 23:59 on 8th May.
