Martin O’Neill guided Celtic into the play-off round of the UEFA Europa League with a 4-2 victory over FC Utrecht at home. It gave the Hoops a total of 11 points from their eight league phase fixtures, with the manager responsible for seven of them. Now he and his team wait to find out who they will face in the play-off – either VfB Stuttgart or Ferencvaros – and the Celtic manager is looking forward to that challenge when it comes next month. Speaking about tonight’s 4-2 home win, Martin O’Neill told Celtic TV: “I’m absolutely delighted. We started off like a house on fire, we pressed strongly and got our rewards, and, to a certain extent, we were coasting at 3-0. “We allowed them back into the game just before half-time and obviously the second goal that they score resurrects the game for them and it was a worrying few minutes after that. Then Trusty got the goal for us, but overall it was a terrific effort. “We’ll enjoy it this evening for a little while and then get our minds ready for Sunday.”FixturesCeltic Vs.
