Mark McCuish lost his life all too soon in August 2024 at the age of just 43, and though his passing has been met with deep sadness by all who knew and loved him there’s also great happiness when recalling so many of the happy times in Mark’s life. Footballer, firefighter, and family man, Cuish was a lot of things to a lot of people and packed so much in to his relatively short life. Mark’s brother Stephen and long term family friend James McKenna joined ex-team mate Tino to talk about many of those good times across the years as he went from young ballboy at Saint Anthony’s Juniors to eventual first team stalwart in over ten years at the Govan club. Apart from his family, Celtic of course were the other footballing constant in his life, with many happy days and nights spent following his club over the years. As well as his Mum Anne and brother Stephen, Mark leaves behind wife Natalie, and his two daughters Harley Rae & Lillia Beau and its clear just how much his family meant to him. Whether you knew Mark or not, please enjoy these stories of a life well lived, by a man well loved. ===================================================== – A Charity Fundraising Event in Mark’s name will be held at The Pearce Institute, 840 Govan Road, G51 3UU on Saturday 23rd November 2024 – Thereafter a Legends Game will be played at McKenna Park, the home of Saint Anthony’s against a team of Mark’s former colleagues in the fire service – For.more info or to attend either event contact us on [email protected]
