Martin O’Neill looking for crucial win over Motherwell

After four tough games on the road in three different competitions and coming out at the other end unbeaten, Celtic are back on home ground tomorrow (Saturday) when Motherwell come calling. The Fir Park side arrive on SPFL duty as a top-four side after playing attractive football for most of this term and gaining plaudits from all corners, and in the two meetings between the side so far this season, the home sides have come out on top on both occasions. This is a first for Martin O’Neill as the Irishman has yet to come up against the Steelmen this term, although, he obviously knows what to expect. When asked, the Irishman said: “A really tough game, absolutely. “They’ve had a fantastic time, a bit of a setback last week at Dundee, but they really have been the proverbial breath of fresh air for the SPFL. “It’s been terrific, they’ve played really well and they play matches without any real fear. It’s great and it’s been terrific for them. “They’ve been terrific, Hearts have been great this season and I also think that Falkirk have been terrific as well. “But from our immediate opponents, Motherwell, a real difficult game for us.”The Hoops go into the game on the back of those four away games and will be determined to not only maintain that unbeaten run, but also take all three points against a side who have also flung their hat into the mix as title challengers. The manager said: “It’s crucial in every aspect because you’re running out of games. “If I looked at it really properly, I don’t think we can drop too many points and still think that you could possibly win the league. It would be very difficult to do that with the games running down.” Watch the video for the full interview and hear Martin O’Neill on: Last week’s derby Progressing in the Scottish Cup Injuries Callum McGregor MORE ON THE GAME Dane Murray: We want to take our recent momentum in to the weekend:
