Martin O’Neill: We were terrific against a fine Motherwell side

All eyes were on Celtic Park for this afternoon’s clash between the Hoops and Motherwell, with the away side’s reputation for playing good football preceding them. What unfolded over the course of the 90 minutes was a thoroughly entertaining match which saw four goals scored, three of which went the way of Martin O’Neill’s men. Yang continued with his good run of form, grabbing a brace, whilst Tomas Cvancara buried an effort from the penalty spot for the second week in a row, giving Celtic a 3-1 victory. Speaking to Celtic TV after the match, Celtic manager Martin O’Neill reflected on a good game of football and a brilliant win for his side. He said: “The match lived up to its billing. It was a great performance from both teams, a great game of football. “We knew it was going to be tough for us and that was the case.
