The midweek games just keep on coming for Martin O’Neill, his players and the Celtic support, with Livingston tomorrow night (Wednesday) the first of four such matches, with games against the West Lothian club and Aberdeen sandwiching VfB Stuttgart in the UEFA Europa League both home and away. It’s Livi first and foremost, though, with another three vital SPFL points to fight for and with the visitors coming in with a new manager in the shape of Marvin Bartley after David Martindale’s move upstairs. The Celts go into the game on the back of two victories over the Almondvale club already this term, a 3-0 win here in Glasgow and a 4-2 victory on the road. However, Martin O’Neill is taking nothing for granted in Bartley’s first game against the Hoops as manager. The Irishman said: “He’s stepped in there, and I just think it’s a difficult game for us anyway, it’s not just a matter of saying it, it is absolutely. ‘I thought we showed plenty of character to fight back there on Saturday evening, it was really great.’ “But I don’t think we’re capable of taking anybody lightly. If we do, we shouldn’t be doing it because we’re not good enough to treat people like that.” The manager’s mention of Saturday evening, was, of course, a reference to the fighting last-gasp comeback against Dundee in the Scottish Cup, a game in which debut Bhoy, Junior Adamu netted that goal in the last attack of the regulation 90 minutes. Another new Bhoy took a bow of a different sort on Saturday night when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was introduced to the crowd just hours after signing. Will he make a more conventional bow tomorrow night by taking to the pitch for his debut? The manager is playing his cards close to his chest, but said: “He’s doing fine, really fine. “He trained yesterday and today and he’s looking pretty good. “We’ll have a little look at that later on today. I haven’t picked the squad yet, but there is a possibility there.” Watch the full video to hear the manager on: Injuries The Scottish Cup draw The fixture schedule Ticket allocation European games More on the game: Liam Scales focused on good performance as the Bhoys welcome Livingston:
