It was another memorable European night at Celtic Park on Wednesday as the Celts defeated YB Bern 1-0 to book a place in the playoffs for the last-16. The Hoops had the ball in the net three times in the first half through Kyogo, with all three finishes ruled out.  Arne Engels also saw his strike from the penalty spot saved before the half-time whistle, with both teams going in level at the break.  It wasn’t until the 86th minute that the deadlock was broken, when Adam Idah’s shot on goal was deflected in to the net by the YB Bern captain, sparking joyous scenes amongst the Celtic support. The victory means that the Celts are guaranteed a spot in the playoffs to reach the round of 16 with one league phase match still to play.
