Celtic FC Women booked their place in the last four of the Scottish Cup on Sunday after running out winners in a seven-goal thriller against Hearts. The Hoops came out on top in the quarter-final cup tie, winning 4-3 after extra-time in the capital. Morgan Cross gave the Ghirls the lead before the half-hour mark, prior to Celtic being pegged back shortly after. Emma Westin’s deflected cross then put the Celts back in front. But Grant Scott’s side were hit once again in normal time, with Hearts scoring a deflected effort of their own. With the game heading into extra-time, two first-half goals from Hannah Luke and Emma Lawton sealed the win for Celtic, with Hearts only able to pull one more back late in the game. That victory secured a place in tonight’s Scottish Cup draw, which will see Celtic take on one of Glasgow City, Rangers or Montrose/Dundee United.
