Natalie Ross: We’re ready for Sunday’s match against Aberdeen

Natalie Ross is no stranger to the challenge of a new season with Celtic, with the midfielder now nine years into her second spell with the Hoops. With that experience comes the knowledge that a good start to the campaign can be a vital springboard for the rest of the season, and, speaking to Celtic TV ahead of Sunday’s match against Aberdeen, Ross reflected on the good start that she and her team-mates have made. “We have to stay positive,” she said, “especially when you look at the Hearts game – nobody expected us to come out and play that well. “In the first half of that game, I thought we were phenomenal. Then against Partick Thistle and Hamilton, we had all different scorers and different types of goals as well. “The Rangers game was disappointing, but we have to stay positive and training has been very good. “A lot of people scoring goals there as well, so we’re ready for the Aberdeen game.”Throughout the course of the summer, a number of new faces were brought in to the Women’s squad, with English defender, Hannah Luke becoming the latest recruit as she put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal on Wednesday. Amongst the summer additions was Lisa Robertson, who returns to the club after a year with Hearts, and Natalie Ross says it’s a massive positive to have Robertson back in the team. She added: “It’s been great to have Lisa back. She’s another older, experienced player, and her experience on and off the pitch speaks for itself. “She’s a great player and a great person to have back around the changing room. “She’s got high standards which is great for people to learn what’s expected at this club. It’s great to have her back the club.”FixturesAberdeen Women Vs. Celtic Women – Sun, Sep 14th 2025, 16:10
