Nicolas Kühn continued his excellent run of form this season with another top-quality display against St Mirren at Celtic Park this afternoon (Sunday). The winger caused problems for Stephen Robinson’s side from the start and was on hand to contribute two goals as the Celts secured a 3-0 victory to establish a 13-point lead at the top of the SPFL table. And speaking to the media at Celtic Park after today’s win, Kühn explained that it was important to get back to winning ways after Thursday’s derby defeat. “We had to show a reaction after the last game,” he said. “And we did, and I’m happy that we got the three points. It was really important for us to get back to winning ways. ‘We aren’t used to losing and today we were much better. We scored some goals and we’re happy with the three points.’ “This is the best season that I’ve had but it’s also the best team that I’ve played in. All the team-mates and the staff make it easier for me and I’m just happy to be here.”Kühn’s two goals against St Mirren takes his tally for the season to an impressive 16, with the winger popping up with goals in the UEFA Champions League, in the League Cup final and in other big matches for the Hoops. But even though he is enjoying a brilliant campaign so far, the German winger admitted that he isn’t thinking about the stats as the Celts continue in their quest to secure even more silverware. He added: “I’m not focused on the numbers. We just have to perform and that’s what I try to do. “For me, the most important thing is staying fit, that’s what I’ve always said and at the end it’s about winning trophies.”FixturesCeltic Vs.
