Celtic kicked off the defence of their Premiership title with an impressive 4-0 victory over Kilmarnock. today (Sunday). It was the fourth consecutive game that the Hoops hit four goals, having done so on their three friendly matches in the United States. The first competitive game of the 2024/25 season saw Brendan Rodgers’ side score four goals without reply through Reo Hatate, Liam Scales, Nicolas Kuhn and Anthony Ralston. Nicolas Kuhn, who scored three goals last season after joining from Rapid Vienna in January, opened his account for the new campaign when he netted Celtic’s third of the game. Cutting in from the right, he glided past three Killie defenders before hitting a shot that took a deflection off a defender and spun over the head of Robby McCrorie in the Kilmarnock goal. The 24-year-old winger was delighted with the goal and the overall performance of the team.
