Obituary ; JOHN SLUDDEN
It was quite a shock to read of the death of JOHN SLUDDEN at only 56. John looked destined to be the next Celtic striker of renown when he played a full part in Scotland Schools beating their English counterparts 5-4 at Wembley in 1980. Along with Paul McStay and man of the match Tony Shepherd a golden future looked on the cards for Celtic though only Paul was to go on to a fine career. John had a lengthy career and scored plenty of goals albeit none were for Celtic and all were in the lower leagues...
