Paddy Crerand’s dream Celtic and Manchester United team
It was on this day 63 years ago, on October 4, 1958 that Paddy Crerand made his debut when Celtic beat Queen of the South 3-1 at home. That was the first of 120 games for the Hoops during which he scored eight goals before leaving for Manchester United in 1963. In 1967, he watched bursting with pride as his bhoyhood heroes lifted the European Cup and then, just 12 months later he was part of the United side that beat Benfica at Wembley to lift the same trophy...
