Paradise Pit Stop returns for Christmas Day 2024

Following the overwhelming success of its inaugural event last year, Celtic FC Foundation is proud to announce the return of Paradise Pit Stop this Christmas Day, set to host up to 300 vulnerable individuals and families in need. After a heart-warming first-year launch, when hundreds of people came together for a festive day of warmth, food, and support, the Foundation has expanded its efforts to ensure even more people in the local community can benefit this holiday season. Taking place at Celtic Park, Paradise Pit Stop will provide a welcoming, safe space for those who are often isolated and struggling during the Christmas period. Guests will enjoy a traditional Christmas meal, gifts, entertainment, and essential support services, all with the aim of spreading festive cheer and making a meaningful difference to the lives of vulnerable individuals and families in Glasgow. This year’s event builds on the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to addressing food insecurity, loneliness and isolation. The announcement also follows the 2024 Christmas Appeal launch, where we hope to assist local families facing poverty, so they can enjoy the type of Christmas that many of us take for granted. Celtic FC Foundation’s Chief Executive, Tony Hamilton, said: “We are deeply grateful for the success of last year’s event, and we are delighted to be able to open our doors once again on Christmas Day. “This year, we are thrilled to be able to welcome even more guests and offer a memorable day for those who need it most. At Celtic FC Foundation, we believe that everyone should be able to share the magic of Christmas and Paradise Pit Stop is a true reflection of that spirit.” Celtic FC Foundation colleagues will be working on Christmas Day to ensure the event runs smoothly, bringing warmth, care, and festive cheer to all in attendance. Together we can ‘Make Christmas Magic’. Anyone who feels they would benefit from the event is warmly invited to attend.
