Players and fans enjoy official opening of new Celtic flagship store

Celtic stars Sebastian Tounekti, Callum Osmand and Johnny Kenny were on hand to cut the ribbon and officially open Celtic’s new flagship city centre store in Glasgow. The two-storey, 5,500 square feet site on Queen Street will now be a green and white beacon for fans and tourists keen to pick up club merchandise and memorabilia. For Osmand and Kenny, fresh from scoring against Rangers in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final, it was a chance to meet and pose for photographs with the fans who cheered them on at the weekend.Johnny Kenny, who netted the opening goal in the derby, said: “It’s good to get out and give back to the people who give you so much support throughout the season. I’m loving it just now but obviously it’s a bonus scoring goals and winning games” For Callum Osmand, it’s been a rollercoaster of a week since the arrival of interim manager Martin O’Neill. The 19-year-old made his debut against Falkirk and followed that up with his first goal in the Hoops’ victory against Rangers. “I’m so happy where I am just now” said the Jersey Bhoy. “I just need to keep my head down and keep pushing on. The supporters are amazing. It’s a surreal feeling but it’s what I’ve always dreamed of.” Watch the Celtic TV interviews at the new Celtic flagship city centre store
