Post-match reaction: Daizen Maeda & Michel-Ange Balikwisha

Daizen Maeda was on hand to grab a late winner for Celtic this afternoon, as the Hoops came from behind to defeat Motherwell 3-2 at Celtic Park. The Celts had gone ahead through Kelechi Iheanacho in the first half, but Motherwell, who have been in good form recently, established a 2-1 lead before Benjamin Nygren and Daizen got their names on the scoresheet to give Celtic the win. Daizen’s goal came after a good delivery in to the box from Michel-Ange Balikwisha, his first assist as a Celtic player, and both men spoke to Celtic TV after the match as they reflected on the 3-2 win. Daizen Maeda said: “The goal was very important. Our performance wasn’t good but to get the result was very important so I’m glad to contribute to that. “As a team, we are still improving. We want to get more wins and make the fans happy.” And Michel-Ange Balikwisha added: “I worked hard to make the delivery to Daizen and he finished it well. The fans helped us and I’m happy to have my first assist. “We work hard every week, and in bits of the game today it was difficult, but the fans helped us.” You can watch the full post-match interview below.
