August 7 – Two Polish referees were stood down at the 11th hour from Tuesday’s Champions League match between Dynamo Kyiv and Rangers after they were reportedly arrested for drunkenly stealing a road sign. Bartosz Frankowski and Tomasz Musial were selected to work as the VAR and assistant VAR for the qualifying match, which took place in the Polish city of Lublin since Ukrainian European games have to be played outside the country because of the Russian invasion.
