PETER LAWWELL is stepping down as chairman of Celtic with effect from December 31. Current non-executive director Brian Wilson will take up the role of interim chairman, until a permanent appointment is made. The announcement was made the club as the champions prepared for a crucial Premiership game against Dundee United at Tannadice this evening.
